About the OAT

Why take the OAT? The OAT is required by ALL optometry schools and is administered year round by Prometric test centers as a computerized exam.

Average Score for admission: 325 at Michigan College of Optometry

Important Notes: NO penalty for guessing

Unofficial test score report and explanation received immediately upon completion of OAT no other score report will be sent to the examinee. Official scores released to schools 3-4 weeks later

No limits on retaking the test, however, examinees must wait 90 days between testing attempts
