NEED SPRING BREAK PLANS? STLF May be for You!

  • Nov 21, 2017

It's never too early to start figuring out what you want to do for Spring Break, especially if you have no plans. Why not dedicate your break to doing community service and building lasting friendships with people from all walks of life? You can do that with Students Today, Leaders Forever (STLF).

STLF is an awesome, non-profit organization that any college student interested in community service and traveling should get involved with! We seek to create positive life experiences, strengthen our leadership through community service, and build relationships with other students.

Each year, we send out groups of students to various cities across the United States during Spring Break. This year, the MSU chapter is sending out five buses! Our trip is nine days, and each bus takes a unique route where they stop at five cities along the way to the final destination: Washington D.C.! At each stop, students will be able to volunteer, get to build friendships with people they otherwise would not have known, and tour awesome cities!

Some of the cities our buses will be going to this year include:

  • Charleston, SC
  • New York City, NY
  • Boston, MA
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Baltimore, MD
  • Nashville, TN
  • Charlotte, NC

And of course, many more!

Our tours are a great way to build a resume (STLF is a national non-profit!), or strengthen your application to a professional school. It's also a fun way to get many community service hours over the course of just nine days.

Last year we sent out four buses and contributed over 2,000 hours of community service, even before we had reached our Destination City!

The trip costs $525 total - which includes lodging, two meals a day, and the bus ride there and back!

If you're worried about being able to afford the trip, don't be. If you register before December 31st, you only have to pay $495, and we also offer financial aid! (You can get as much as $100 off of your dues, and you can also pay in increments, so you're not out of money all at once.)

Interested? Registration is currently open, and it's both quick and easy!
