Summer Opportunities

Use the summer to keep moving toward your goals while learning near your home.

Get away from East Lansing and still focus on the courses you need! Summer courses in Biological sciences, Physical sciences, Mathematics are designed to fit your learning style and your schedule with different formats and locations. Think about studying Off-campus or Online.

Not a Science major? Take online Integrative Studies in General Science or off-campus business statistics (ISB, ISP or STT) course before you head back to campus in August.

Course Options

Off-campus courses are available in several locations. West Michigan courses are at the College of Human Medicine in downtown Grand Rapids and MSU Bioeconomy Institute in Holland. Southeast Michigan courses are in Birmingham, Farmington, the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Macomb University Center and the Broad Management Education Center in Troy.

Learning online is a flexible way to fit NatSci courses into your Summer plans. You’ll find easy access Physics, Math, Stats, Biochemistry, Integrative Biology (Genetics), Physiology, Biomedical Laboratory Science courses.

Flipped courses meet once-a-week! Do a chunk of work online, on your own schedule. In class with other students and an instructor, you’ll discuss cases, do problems, ask questions, take exams.

Summer courses are updated in January. Enrollment opens in mid-March.

Program Costs & Aid

Cost to enroll in off-campus and online courses is based on the individual student’s tuition status. This is the same as student would pay to enroll in the same course in a typical on campus format.
