Summary
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. Created in 2012 as a simple idea, it is a day that encourages people to do good.
GIVING TUESDAY, is on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. From 12 a.m. –11:59 p.m. ET, Spartan supporters worldwide will be invited through social media, email and other digital promotion to participate in MSU College of Natural Science GIVING TUESDAY by giving their support either financially or by helping spread the word via their own social media channels.
During the 24-hour period Spartans and friends will have a chance to support 2 featured projects within the College.
The goal is to engage alumni and friends in an online effort to make real-time, fast, easy and secure monetary gifts in support of these projects.

Greatest Needs Fund
The Greatest Needs Fund strengthens the college’s mission and provides critical, flexible support by addressing emerging priorities, including:
- providing essential funding for research and creating hands-on learning opportunities for students,\
- adapting classrooms and lab spaces to meet emerging needs, or
- ensuring critical equipment is available as programs evolve.
Student Experiential Learning Fund
This learning fund supports student engagement in high-impact learning experiences aligned with their academic and career goals, including internships and professional development opportunities, education abroad, and community engaged learning.
