Pathways to Science Series

The Council of Diversity & Community Speaker Series was designed to bring distinguished speakers from various STEM disciplines and various backgrounds to MSU to share their experiences. In addition to their scientific talk, each invited speaker also gave a "Pathways to Science" seminar, describing their experiences through their careers while meeting with graduate students and post-docs. Each seminar was cohosted by NatSci and one of the units.

Brave Space was an open opportunity for the campus community to reflect and connect with one another around stressful and contentious situations. Administrators and advisors were on hand to listen to students’ concerns and worries in a safe and supportive space. Administrators and advisors were on hand to listen to students’ concerns and worries in a safe and supportive space. This coming together of community was designed to counter divisiveness that had been present in recent months nationally and across Michigan.
