Students nominated for prestigious Goldwater Scholarship

The MSU Distinguished Student Awards Office has nominated four students for the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship.

Four undergraduate seniors in the Michigan State University College of Natural Science (NatSci) have been nominated for the Marshall Scholarship, a competitive opportunity that funds graduate school in the United Kingdom (UK). Kyleen Hall, Brennan Haugen, Isaac Smith, and Dorothy Zhao are among 10 MSU Honors College students and two alumni nominated this year. Annually, up to 50 students in the United States receive Marshall Scholarships to pursue graduate studies in the UK. Haugen was also nominated for the Mitchell Scholarship, which allows students to pursue a year of graduate study in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Four NatSci undergrads receive Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Scholarships

Four College of Natural Science undergraduate students were among five Michigan State University students to receive a 2021 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship from the MSU Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives – Mikayla Cooper, a human biology sophomore; Angel Edwards, a chemistry senior and Drew Science Scholar; Ayo Ifaturoti, a physiology junior and Drew Science Scholar, and Breanna Williams, a human biology sophomore and Drew Science Scholar.
