University Requirements

MSU Students are required to take one WRA, one ISS 200 level, one ISS 300 level, one IAH 201-210, and one IAH 211 or higher. Through the ISS and IAH requirements, you must take courses with two different diversity concentrations: Diversity (D), National (N), and International (I).

Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures (WRA)

WRA 101: Writing as Inquiry (4)

The study and practice of invention, arrangement, revision, style, and delivery to help students make successful transitions to writing, reading, and researching in higher education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Integrative Studies in Arts & Humanities (IAH)

Students must take one 4-credit first-level course (IAH 201-210) and one 4-credit second-level course (IAH 211-241) to fulfill their graduation requirements for Integrative Studies in the Arts and Humanities. 

Completion of an IAH first-level course is a prerequisite for enrollment in an IAH second-level course.

Integrative Studies in Social Science (ISS)

To fulfill MSU graduation requirements, each student must successfully complete one 4-credit ISS 200 level course and one 4-credit ISS 300 level course. 

Successful completion of an ISS 200 level course is a prerequisite for enrollment in an ISS 300 level course. 

There are no prerequisites for enrollment in ISS 200 level courses. ISS 300 level courses are restricted to students who have completed at least 28 credits.
