Integrated Science Secondary Education
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Science-Secondary Education is designed for persons who want a broad background in biology, chemistry, earth and space science, and physics and to understand the interrelationships between these disciplines. This major is designed primarily for persons who plan to teach science (biology, chemistry, earth and space science, physics) in secondary schools.
Integrated Science Secondary Education Curriculum
The Integrated Science Secondary Education Curriculum comprises of courses that will provide students a strong foundational knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth/space science. Students also choose a concentration (biology OR chemistry OR physics OR earth/space science) that will supplement the core curriculum with upper-level science courses that help students develop problem solving, critical thinking, data analysis skills and communication skills. Teacher Education courses are a part of the Integrated Science Secondary Education curriculum. Details about the Teacher Preparation Application process can be found here.
