Human Biology
The human biology major is designed for students who want a broad background in the
biological sciences and who want to understand the interrelationships among these
fields. This program is for those who plan to pursue careers in the health care professions
but are not interested in a teaching option.
Human biology is a popular major choice for students who plan to pursue professional
school for careers like dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant
and other human health careers that require additional education after completing
a bachelor degree. To learn more about the support offered to undergraduate students
pursuing these careers, view the preprofessional resources provided by the College of Natural Science.
